My Process

I’ve been writing songs since before I can remember. As a kid, I would mess with keys on my toy piano and write lyrics to the cacophony of chaos. Once I discovered chords and progressions, I have been fascinated by the structures of songs and the craftmenship. To me, songwriting is an emotional outlet, but also a creative challenge. I love to collaborate with other artists, songwriters, and musicians. When writing on my own, the melodies and lyrics often manifest together, alongside the chords I find on my piano or guitar.

The Thing That Eats the Heart by Noor Hila

Verse 1

Wish I could reach in between your ribs and check if you’ve left me for good

Cus your eyes are so vacant, your skin is so cold and your lips are turning blue

Chorus

You let your greed tear you apart, you gave up on humility to get what you wanted

But you're still looking for more because loneliness is the thing that eats the heart

Verse 2

I’m holding it all in my hands, feeling the beating and the flowing of blood

Lost in emotion and the betrayal of trust

Chorus

You let your greed tear you apart, you gave up on humility to get what you wanted

But you're still looking for more because loneliness is the thing that eats the heart

Drowning by Noor Hila

Verse 1

It hits me, blindsided; I fall down and it pulls me in

You know I get real quiet, when I don’t feel anything

I dive into your ocean, let me feel the emotion; I know you do, I know you do

Can I feel it too?

Chorus

Your waves crash into me, I need you like the sand needs the sea

Can’t you see? You make drowning feel easy

Verse 2

My lungs fill with your salty water as I try to breathe you in

Suffocating in your currents, your tears ripping through my skin

Chorus

Your waves crash into me, I need you like the sand needs the sea

Can’t you see? You make drowning feel easy

Bridge

Your love is killing me, but I’m holding on cus you’re all I need

Your love is killing me, but I’m holding on cus you’re all I need
Chorus

Your waves crash into me, I need you like the sand needs the sea

Can’t you see? You make drowning feel easy
